Custom Gasket Mfg. specializes in precision die cut and molded SBR rubber gaskets and seals for applications and industries worldwide. SBR rubber is a synthetic polymer, commonly known as “red rubber.” It is a widely used because it is inexpensive and has the ability to deform to uneven flange edges. SBR has excellent impact-strength, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and sustains flexibility at lower temperatures. Even though SBR is not resistant to oil, gasoline, and hydrocarbon solvents, it performs well in industrial applications which involve contact with chemicals, water, air and steam. SBR rubber functions well in temperatures ranging from -67°F to +180°F.

Die Cut SBR Gaskets
Custom Gasket Mfg. provides die cut SBR gaskets in a wide variety of grades, thicknesses, and hardness. The standard thickness of SBR rubber ranges from 1/32″ to 1/4″ thick. SBR rubbers hardness (durometer) is typically 75A durometer however our commercial grade ranges from 40 to 80 durometer, Shore A. Die cut SBR gaskets are generally red or black in color. SBR (Red Rubber) gaskets are available with or without pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
Molded SBR Gaskets
Custom Gasket Mfg. provides molded SBR gaskets and seals. Our custom SBR rubber molding capabilities include Compression Molding, Transfer Molding, and Rubber Injection Molding. SBR rubber compounds are available from 40 to 80 durometer, Shore A. SBR molded gaskets are generally red or black in color however custom color compounding is available upon request. SBR molding tolerances are complaint with rubber molding industry standard RMA A2 Precision tolerances.
